Cigar Cutter How To

Congratulations on Your New Cigar Cutter!
Now that you have one of our cigar cutters, let us guide you through the process of using it properly.

  1. Understanding the Blade:
You’ll notice that the blade has two distinct sides. One side is flat, where our logo is laser etched, while the other side features a slight hollow grind. The flat side should face the body of the cigar, while the hollow ground side will push the cap away when you cut.

  2. Hand Placement:
Along the spine of the cutter, you’ll find a slight divot. Rest the tip of your middle or ring finger in this divot (whichever is more comfortable), with the pivot pin facing away from you. Open the blade, and place your thumb naturally on the top of the blade near the tip. For reference, please refer to the image above.

  3. Positioning the Cigar:
Once you have a firm grip on the cutter, place the head of the cigar (the portion you want to cut) into the cutter’s opening. Keep the cigar perpendicular to the handle of the knife.

  4. Making the Cut:
When you're ready, swiftly snap the blade down with your thumb, as if you’re clamping your fingers together. Ensure your thumb remains near the front of the blade to avoid obstructing the cutting process. Its best to try a few snaps of the blade before cutting a cigar to get the hang of it. Once you're ready, chop away and enjoy.
